From 24-27 March 2015, the Anuga FoodTec – the international suppliers fair for the food and beverage industry – is expected to host over 1,300 companies from around 40 countries in Cologne. As a cross-sector trade fair, the Anuga FoodTec provides a current overview of new technologies, equipment and vendor components of all production fields in the food industry. At the same time, it serves as an international platform for information exchange and further education. Moreover, the promotion of new talents is of central importance to the organisers Koelnmesse and the DLG (German Agricultural Society). Therefore, after its successful introduction in 2012, the next Anuga FoodTec will also feature a “Careers Day”. This initiative is intended to build upon the exchange of communication and information between the companies exhibiting at the Anuga FoodTec and students or graduates from relevant disciplines. Within the framework of the Anuga FoodTec, the “Careers Day” will be taking place on Friday, 27 March 2015.

At the Anuga FoodTec, the “Careers Day” will provide international students/graduates from engineering and process engineering sectors or also from the food industry with their first insights into the different fields of operation of the companies taking part. At the same time, the “Careers Day” will provide the exhibitors participating with the opportunity to explain about their companies and ranges of services to motivated and potential employees by directly presenting their equipment and products. Students/graduates will be present from technical universities in Germany and universities and industry-specific institutes in Austria, Belgium, France, Great Britain, Ireland, Italy, the Netherlands, Switzerland and Spain. A “Careers Guide” will be compiled especially for the Anuga FoodTec in which all exhibitors involved in the initiative will be mentioned. In addition to being mentioned in the print version, these companies will also be listed on the website. Moreover, other services can be booked in order to get into contact with potential new talents (e.g. presentation of company logos, online appointments and job advertisements). Furthermore, brief presentations as part of the “Speakers Corner” can be booked to present the individual companies.

Students and graduates, who would like to take part in the “Careers Day”, will gain free admission to the Anuga FoodTec on 27 March 2015. For further information visit www.anugafoodtec.com.
