Manor Farm in Cavan and Roadbridge in Limerick have been named as national winners at The National Q Mark Awards 2019. Manor Farm was awarded the title of National Winner of the Q Mark for Hygiene and Food Safety, sponsored this year by Ishka, while Roadbridge has the title of National Winner of the Q Mark for Quality Management Systems, sponsored for 2019 by Solus.
Cavan business Manor Farm is committed to providing consumers with innovative, quality, safe food products, to the specification of its customers, with a high level of service and customer support. The company is no stranger to celebrating at the Q Mark ceremony, as Director Vincent Carton pointed out: “Manor Farm is proud to be the recipient of the Hygiene Mark award again this year, as it underlines our commitment for high quality standards within the Irish poultry processing industry and recognises the company’s commitment to quality and hygiene at all levels.”

Pictured at the National Q Mark Awards 2019 ceremony were: award sponsor Mike Sutton of Ishka; Liam Hillard of Manor Farm; MD of Q Mark organisation EIQA Irene Collins; and Justin Carton of Manor Farm, which was named National Winner of the Q Mark Award for Hygiene and Food Safety.

Managing Director of EIQA, which runs the Q Mark Awards Irene Collins says: “This is an outstanding achievement and clearly demonstrates that the team in Manor Farm don’t rest on their laurels or previous achievements. They continue to demonstrate that Food Safety is at the heart of the business by constantly pushing the boundaries of success. Congratulations to everyone in Manor Farm.”

Roadbridge is a Limerick-based International Civil Engineering contractor with over 50 years of experience. It employs over 700 people and is renowned for finishing ahead of time on projects.
Like fellow National Winner Manor Farm, Roadbridge has been working towards Q Mark standards for years, as Managing Director Conor Gilligan pointed out: “Having been successful in winning awards in 2014 and 2018, we have seen first-hand the advantages it brings to our dealings with potential customers and has been a very valuable asset in our tenders. Quite simply, it is worth the time and effort, and is excellent value for money.”
Irene Collins agreed: “This award recognises the enthusiasm and commitment to Quality standards by everyone in Roadbridge, they are clearly delivering their core values in everything they do. Another brilliant outcome for a truly brilliant team!”
14 judges from the world of industry and academia came together to delve deeply into the nominees list this year, and choose those who would walk away with each of the 30 prizes on the night.
Clare O’Sullivan, Director of Innovative Together, who was one of the judges, said: “I am privileged to have such a unique insight into the commitment and dedication of Irish companies,  large and small in producing quality goods and services for their customers. Companies who are successful in being nominated for the awards have quality as part of their DNA.”
