Fleetmatics-500x500Fleetmatics has recently announced that they plan to create 75 jobs based in Dublin by 2018. These jobs will focus on research and development for the next 18 months.

This mobile workforce solutions provider develops GPS-based fleet management systems that track vehicles to give operators more information on delivery times, speed, fuel, and mileage of the vehicles.

This will bring the company’s employment numbers in Ireland over 200. And as of March 2016, Fleetmatics had over 700,000 vehicles to cater to over 30,000 customers worldwide. This growth is significant when compared to the company’s origins in 2004. When the company was founded in Templeoge, Dublin, there were only 10 employees.

As they plan to expand their research by opening up the job market, they also plan on developing a new Network Operations Centre (NOC) in Tallaght, Dublin. This new site will bring the company’s engineering resources together under one roof in order to promote collaboration amongst employees to provide customers with faster response times, maintenance, and support.
