IT retirement company AMI has announced an investment of €1.1 million that will see the creation of 15 new jobs as it expands its Irish operations.

With locations North and South of the border, AMI specialises in the secure, safe disposal of IT assets that can generate revenue back for their customers.

According to the Asset Disposal and Information Security Alliance, AMI is among the world’s top seven companies for the quality of its secure data sanitisation processes.

Philip McMichael, Managing Director at AMI, says: “We have grown by 20% per year in each of the last three years, and while the recovering economy is part of this, a major factor is the volume of inbound multinational investment from industries where data security is critical. We’re always looking to grow and innovate, and the expansion in the technology sector in Ireland presents a huge opportunity for us.”

Positions will become available for professionals in the field of engineering, logistics, sales and business development.

The company is expecting growth and a strong increase in demand for its services as new regulations may see companies fined 4% of their global revenues if they suffer data breaches. AMI plans to triple its business in Ireland to €3 million over the next few years.
