Six months before the start of the trade fair, the outlook is extremely promising for International FoodTec Brasil, which is celebrating its premiere from 5 to 7 August 2014 in Curitiba, Brazil. Upon expiry of the early booker period, two thirds of the floor space has been let for the Food Technology trade fair, organised by Koelnmesse in cooperation with Hannover Fairs Sulamérica (HFSA). The big names in the sector have already announced their participation. Recent registrations include, among others, Cabinplant (Denmark), CSB-System (Germany), Dixie Toga / Bemis Company (Brazil / USA), Ishida (Japan), Marel (Iceland) and Seydelmann (Germany). International FoodTec Brasil is a new information and business platform for the industry in Brazil, one of the most important sales markets, and offers a comprehensive overview of machines and processes for the production, processing and packaging of food that are available on the national and international market.

Its position as leading international trade fair for the food technology sector in Brazil highlights the trade fair even before it begins. Almost 50 exhibitors from twelve countries have registered at present. Furthermore, pavilions are planned for the USA, Turkey and Italy. “The international sector is eagerly awaiting the trade fair. With new registrations from CSB-System, Ishida and Marel, we have again been able to increase the number of big names participating”, says Denis Steker, Vice President International / Foreign Trade Fairs at Koelnmesse GmbH. “In addition, we have recently been joined by two strong international partners with PMMI, the US Association for Packaging and Processing Technologies and UCIMA, theItalian Packaging Machinery Manufacturers Association.“

With the high density of international exhibitors, International FoodTec Brasil clearly rises above the existing formats in Brazil and offers trade visitors a centralised, high quality platform with professional and efficient solutions that have hitherto been missing in Brazil. Focusing on the sectors of meat, poultry, fish and cheese, the trade fair is directed at the most important purchasers in the region in southern Brazil.
