Software engineering and solutions provider Comtrade are targeting 25% year-on-year growth between now and 2020, after the company announced that its Digital Services division has received ISO certification as a developer of medical software solutions.

The medtech industry is undergoing a relative boom in Ireland, with the export market for medical devices and diagnostic products worth €12.6 billion annually. Comtrade will look to support 240 of the 300+ companies developing medical devices in Ireland with its software solutions.

Their latest software in development includes software that will benefit advanced wearables and in vitro diagnostics.

Dejan Ćušić, Business Director of Comtrade Digital Services in Ireland and UK, says: “Ireland’s healthcare industry is ready for disruption. Ireland is a leading global exporter of medical devices, but innovation and time to market are key to holding that position and advancing further. The ISO 13485 confirms that Comtrade Digital Services’ software for medical devices is best in class and we look forward to seeing our footprint engrained in the success in the industry.”
