TERMINALFOUR Secures €4.2 Million in New Business Wins in 2017
TERMINALFOUR, the leading provider of Digital Marketing and Web Content Management Solutions to higher education, won €4.2 million worth of new business globally in the past 12 months, with more than half of the deals done in North America. The US and Canadian markets now account for more than 50% of TERMINALFOUR’s global revenue.
To manage the growth of the US market, particularly along the West Coast, TERMINALFOUR will open a second US office in San Diego, California, in January 2018. This base will enable the company to better service its growing North American client base. TERMINALFOUR has doubled the number of new client wins in North America in the past year, bringing its current number of higher education clients globally to more than 200.
Headquartered in Dublin 1, TERMINALFOUR employs more than 70 people worldwide; the company expects the strong growth in North America to continue into 2018 and forecasts revenue in this market to double again within the year. Entering new markets will be a key focus for TERMINALFOUR in 2018 and the company will look to develop its interests in the Latin America with a view to opening an office in the region in the future. The new San Diego base will provide the company with an initial springboard to this market.
Globally, TERMINALFOUR continued its strong growth pace with double digit revenue growth in 2017. Some notable new wins for the company include Mount St. Mary’s University, US; Babson College, US, the University of Wollongong, Australia, Southern Cross University, Australia and the University of Winchester, UK.
Compared to the previous year, the average deal value has increased by 30%. Much of this growth is due to an increase in demand for TERMINALFOUR’s web hosting platform and it expects to see sustained expansion in the UK, mainland Europe and Australian markets as well. In order to fulfil their new objectives, the company will be opening a new office in Poland in 2018, which will bring the number of TERMINALFOUR offices around the world to nine in total.
The company is seeing a move away from open source software as security and data protection become a priority for higher education institutions. More organisations are now opting to have their entire web infrastructure managed by TERMINALFOUR. Over the next 12 months, its platform will also move towards a model of continuous development, whereby software will automatically update every two weeks.
