FutureScope, Ireland’s only conference that promotes collaboration between the entrepreneurial community and multinationals, is taking applications for One2Watch 2018. The competition seeks to find Ireland’s most scalable business idea and award the winning company with a platform to support its growth.

The brightest and most innovative start-ups and entrepreneurs in the country will compete for the opportunity to present their business idea on the FutureScope stage on 31st May to an audience of 1,200 including investors, multinationals, innovative Irish enterprises and entrepreneurs. The winner will receive a range of Dublin BIC supports, including three months free accommodation in the Guinness Enterprise Centre, and a cash prize.

One2Watch 2018 seeks to elevate, promote and recognise the most scalable business idea, which presents the biggest market opportunity, with the most capable team to realise it. Entry to the competition is open to entrepreneurs and start-ups from any sector whose idea is beyond the concept stage, and is under five years since incorporation. The deadline for entries is 6th April 2018.  To apply go towww.futurescope.ie/one2watch.

The judges of this year’s One2Watch competition include Alison Cowzer, co-founder of East Coast Bakehouse and an investor on RTÉ’s Dragon’s Den; HBAN business angel, PJ Dwyer; and Jim Joyce, CEO and co-founder of HealthBeacon. The judging panel will be chaired by John Phelan, national director of HBAN.

Michael Culligan, CEO, Dublin BIC, said: “One2Watch is a fantastic competition that offers experienced business support and guidance for ambitious start-ups looking to make their entrepreneurial ideas a reality. It provides the winner an amazing opportunity to pitch their idea to investors and business leaders from the most successful large Irish enterprises and multinationals.

“Technological advancements are presenting both huge opportunities and challenges in our world. FutureScope is all about recognising current trends and providing future insights on the most innovative future technologies. FutureScope also aims to provide the perfect stage for fostering collaboration, and One2Watch 2018 will bring a showcase idea to the exact people who can offer the required support and investment needed to scale.”

FutureScope 2017 winner, Conor Harkin (pictured), Chief Scientific Officer and co-founder of ProVerum Medical, said: “Winning One2Watch provided excellent validation and great exposure for ProVerum medical. Since winning the competition ProVerum Medical, who provide a minimally invasive treatment for benign prostatic hyperplasia (BPH), has secured an investment that will allow human trials to be conducted in late 2018.”

FutureScope 2018 takes place on Thursday, 31st May in the Convention Centre Dublin with a special focus on driving collaboration and innovative solutions to address current and future challenges and concerns. People can register to attend at http://www.futurescope.ie/tickets/
