Carlsberg Appoints New Head For Asia

Carlsberg Group has appointed Christopher Warmoth as senior vice president for the brewer’s Asia region. He joins Carlsberg from HJ Heinz where, during the past ten years, he has held various top positions in the Asia Pacific and Continental/ Eastern European regions, latest as executive VP for the Asia-Pacific, Africa and Middle East Region.

Prior to joining Heinz Chris Warmoth worked for the Coca-Cola Company and for Procter & Gamble.

Jørgen Buhl Rasmussen, president and CEO of the Carlsberg Group, says: “I really look forward to welcoming Chris into the Carlsberg Group, both as an executive committee member and as head of our Asian region. He brings a wealth of valuable experience from multinational fast moving consumer goods companies, where he has achieved impressive results centred around commercial execution. He has also led extensive change and capability programs. Since being appointed to lead Asia for Heinz in 2006, Chris has managed consistently to deliver 15% to 20% annual growth, thanks to his strong strategic and commercial abilities. I am convinced that Chris will be a great asset for our Asian leadership team.”

Asia is a growth region with so many possibilities and with cultures which I continue to admire and enjoy. Together with the leadership team, I look forward to take the Carlsberg Group to the next level in its development.” Chris Warmoth will join Carlsberg on January 13 2014 and will be based in Hong Kong
