Belfast-based software firm Fluent Technology is creating 18 new jobs to help grow sales in Great Britain and Europe. The indigenous software company specialises in grant management software (GMS) for private and public sector clients across the UK and Ireland.

Welcoming the investment, Brian Dolaghan, Invest Northern Ireland’s Director of Technology & Services, said: “Fluent Technology is nearly doubling its workforce to help it keep up with the demand for its services and grow sales in GB and Europe. Once in place, the eighteen new jobs will generate over half a million pounds in additional salaries annually to the Northern Ireland economy. Invest NI has built a strong relationship with Fluent Technology over the years, supporting it to create ten jobs in 2014. Our R&D support has also helped it to develop its market leading grant management software solution called Flexi-Grant. It is great to see our support leading to new opportunities for the company which has already secured new contracts for its system in Tanzania, Switzerland, the Czech Republic and Ireland.”

Invest NI has offered Fluent Technology £286,000 of support for the new roles and R&D support towards the development of its Flexi Grant system and accompanying app, which allows customers to access its system whilst on the go. Roles to be recruited include Account Executives, Grant Administrator’s, Engineers and customer support staff.

Fluent Technology’s Managing Director, Keith Turkington said: “We are creating a niche for ourselves in an ever competitive market. By increasing our workforce and investing in new product development, we can now look further into GB and Europe for new business opportunities. Our mission is to deliver significant year on year sales growth and become the UK’s leading provider of online grant management software. With Invest NI’s help to expand our team, we look forward to increasing our export sales and welcoming on board some of Northern Ireland’s highly skilled and creative individuals.”
