Irish Research Council to Announce Partnership with European Space Agency

downloadThe Irish Research Council will announce details of a new partnership with the European Space Agency (ESA) tomorrow, Tuesday, 21st June, at 1pm at the 1592 Restaurant in the Front Square of Trinity College Dublin.

 

The new partnership will see Irish postgraduate engineering and science students participate in traineeships with the ESA.

 

Dr. Eucharia Meehan, Director of the Irish Research Council, and Jan Woerner, Director General of the ESA, will be in attendance at tomorrow’s announcement.

 

Commenting in advance, Dr. Meehan said: “Space exploration is one of the most exciting and attractive sectors for science and engineering graduates.  We are delighted to be embarking on a partnership that will allow Irish graduates in these sectors to get involved in cutting-edge research projects on the international stage.”

 

Full details of the new partnership between the Irish Research Council and the ESA will be unveiled tomorrow.
