Nescafé Milano 2.0 has been awarded the coveted Red Dot Design Award, highlighting the premium coffee machine’s blending of form and function.

Rolled out commercially to food service operators in 2013, the Nescafé Milano 2.0 was awarded the “Communication Design 2014: Software Interface and Usability” prize for overall concept idea, user friendliness and visual design.

Past winners of the Red Dot award, affiliated with the renowned German-based design consultant Peter Zec, have included Nestlé’s own Nespresso premium brand, BMW and Apple’s iPad Mini.

The Red Dot committee received around 15,500 applications alone from vendors in 70 countries in 2013.

The Milano 2.0 machine helps strengthen the premiumisation of the Nescafé brand and provides out-of-home operators an easy to use and manage beverage system, which delivers a wide variety of drinks, including cappuccinos and latte macchiatos.
