Rémy Cointreau has announced that Eric Vallat has joined the group as chief executive officer of the House of Rémy Martin.

After graduating from the HEC business school in Paris in 1993, Eric Vallat began his career in investment banking before rapidly joining, Louis Vuitton. Following three years’ experience in the field, he was appointed chief executive officer of Louis Vuitton France, and subsequently of Europe, before being appointed president and representative director of Christian Dior Couture Japan in 2004.

Since his return to Paris in January 2008, he has been chairman of Bonpoint, a brand that he helped to develop over a period of six years, he was also appointed by the EPI Group as managing director of J.M. Weston from 2009 to 2012.

Eric Vallat will assume overall responsibility for the House of Rémy Martin, which he will continue to position as an ambassador of high-end French craftsmanship, drawing on his expertise, the talent of his teams and of the Rémy Cointreau network.

He will continue the group’s policy of adding value and maintaining the reputation for quality of the Rémy Martin and Louis XIII brands, which is consistent with evolving worldwide consumption patterns.
