Packaging equipment supplier HayssenSandiacre’s Rose Forgrove range has added a new inverted integra wrapper to its line designed to package soft, sticky or wet products.

The Integra 601 features fast pack size changeover with a single part change, gas flushing, easy-open packages and long-dwell sealing for hermetic packs.

Featuring an inverted unwind design, the wrapper is sanitation-friendly with reduced contact surface area, says HayssenSandiacre.

The new machine is particularly suited for packaging various formats of cheese, including chunks and slices for consumer and institutional sizes, loaves and large slabs of mozzarella.

The production rate for the Integra 601 is 150 packages per minute and package range is up to 150mm high x 300m wide.

Michael Dann, director of Rose Forgrove, said: “While we designed this model to primarily meet the needs of our cheese customers, it has actually been a great solution for many other products. We recently sold a model for packaging bird seed.”
