Ryanair has released a statement saying its passenger number grew by 21% to reach 7.71 million in November. This compares to 6.35 million the same month last year.

The Dublin-based Ryanair carried a record 99.9 million passengers in the past 12 months following improvements to customer service, the airline has said. The rolling annual traffic figure is 17% higher than at the same time last year.

The airline’s chief marketing officer, Kenny Jacobs: “Ryanair’s November traffic grew by 21%, while our load factor jumped 5% points to 93%. These record monthly numbers and load factors are due to our lower fares, our stronger forward bookings and the continuing success of our “Always Getting Better” customer experience programme, which continues to deliver stronger than expected traffic and load factors.

Ryanair customers can now look forward to more service enhancements, as we continue Year 2 of our AGB programme, which includes our new car hire service, new website, new app, new cabin interiors, new crew uniforms, and improved inflight menus, as Ryanair continues to deliver so much more than just the lowest fares in Europe.”

Ryanair was set up in 1985 by the Ryan family with a share capital of just £1, and a staff of 25. It launched its first route in July with daily flights on a 15-seater Bandeirante aircraft, operating daily from Waterford in the southeast of Ireland to London Gatwick.
