Sales of Kerrygold products expected to grow 30% in US this year

Ornua, which was formerly known as the Irish Dairy Board, has reported that sales of its Kerrygold butter and cheese products and on track to grow by nearly 30 per cent in the US this year.
Kerrygold butter has reached the number three position in the US market, climbing from fifth place last year, with butter revenue increasing 60 per cent in the last 12 months.
Ornua said that increasing awareness of the benefits of choosing butter from grass-fed cows had helped growth.
Ornua also said that Kerrygold Dubliner Cheese has grown strongly in the speciality cheese category, overtaking other brands to become the number one speciality cheese in dollar sales.
