Fáilte Ireland Announces New Capital Scheme

failte_ire1Fáilte Ireland Capital Investments Supports for Large Tourism Projects has announced that they will provide €65 million as an investment to develop new, or maintain current tourist hot-spots and boost tours across Ireland.

This plan will begin today, and will run for about four years as it is set to end in 2020. The Capital Investment Supports for Large Tourism Projects was created to support tourism projects that show potential in boosting the Irish economy.

The organization is looking for projects that would create jobs, attract overseas tourists, and promote existing exhibits and attractions.

The funding for these projects is pulled from Fáilte Ireland’s funding, which is set at €125m for the next seven years.

This investment scheme is open to the public, who may wish to recommend and support a specific project in which they have personal or community interest.
