Cloud computing providers Novosco are set to double their current office space in Belfast, and create 21 new jobs in the process.

The company, which has offices in Belfast, Dublin, Cork and Manchester, is a fast-growing tech enterprise that has been serving UK and Irish customers for over 20 years.

In recent times, Novosco has acquired specialist IT security solutions NetDef in a deal valued in the millions and has won a series of major contracts with organisations on both sides of the Irish Sea.

Now, the company will expand its office by 11,000 sq ft at Catalyst, formerly NI Science Park, as part of a £1 million investment with turnover expected to rise 18% this year. The large facility that Novosco is based in boasts a customise staff gym, a library, a specially-designed staff coffee dock, and a virtual reality room for staff entertainment.

Novosco’s managing director Patrick McAliskey said: “We wanted to create a unique office environment to support our efforts to recruit and retain the very best.

“We’ve taken inspiration from what the absolute leading companies in the world in places like the US are doing. We don’t think there are any other offices in Northern Ireland quite like what we have created and we feel that they will play a crucial role in the continuing growth of our business.”
